Lochsa is a fiddle and guitar duo playing hard-driving Scottish and Celtic tunes. Jonathan Schenefeld and Derek Stallman have been making music together for about a decade, with a particular love for the kind of tunes that make it difficult to sit still.

Drawing from the Scottish and Cape Breton traditions as well as players like Gordon Duncan, Liz Carroll, John Doyle, Hanneke Cassel, and The East Pointers, Lochsa plays instrumental music with plenty of rhythm, lift, and a little bit of fire.

We play weddings, dances, festivals, farmers markets, taverns, and pretty much anywhere people want good tunes.
